Apple has confirmed the sale of a 4128 GB iPad with a Retina Display

Apple has launched a 128 GB version of the iPad 4, confirming speculation that an iPad with more storage is being considered.

The price for a 4128 GB iPad in the UK are:

iPad Wifi only 4128 GB - 815 €

4128 GB iPad Wifi and 3G - 945 €

The 4128 GB iPad has the same 9.7-inch Retina Display iPad 4 that launched alongside the iPad Mini in 2012. It also has the same processor and retains the same proportions.

"With more than 120 million iPads sold, it is clear that customers around the world love their iPads, and every day they find more reasons to work, learn and play on their iPads rather than their old PCs," said Philip Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple.

He added: "With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled choice of more than 300,000 applications for the iPad, businesses, educators and artists have even more reasons to use the iPad for all their business needs and personal.

Apple should release a new iPad - with a few design changes - in the first half of 2013. Current reports suggest that the unit has a thin bezel just like the iPad Mini.

The iPhone 5S / 6 should also make its appearance between now and the beginning of the second quarter of 2013.
